Are you tired of all the changes on LJ? It can be a love/hate relationship. Maybe you've thought about moving over to Dreamwidth but have refrained because fandom's not moving anytime soon. (Or if you're like me, you made a journal in case of mass exodus and now it's sitting and collecting dust.)
But what if there was community movement? What if you got new friends out of the deal, a lot of people who like the same things you do?
So here's a friending meme, in the hopes of creating a solid community of Johnny's fans on Dreamwidth! Copy the text field, fill it all out, and have fun!
And if you want to help the community on Dreamwidth grow (you know you do!) here are some communities that you can get involved in. A lot of them haven't been updated in a long time, but don't let that stop you. If we participate, things will start to happen!

Date: 2011-12-25 06:46 am (UTC)a juntoshi place is definitely one of my favorite places, and clearly jun approves of the bangs: he was the one who said, of course, that ohno's bangs made it so you'd hardly believe he was thirty. this leaves me to believe that jun admires ohno's bangs, and enjoys the youthful quality his otherwise somewhat elderly (in hobbies, at least) leader has. perhaps jun appreciates that he is the youngest, but that he can just as effectively care for his precious leader as his leader can for him. (possibly better.)
the real reversal, of course, is that ohno thinks jun's bangs are cute, too! so in their culture of highly processed/permed/bleached/hair-sprayed hairstyles, perhaps what they appreciate about each other's bangs is not just any aesthetic qualities but also how it is literally freeing from the norm. perhaps having bangs is a way of throwing off the heteronormative hairstyle kyriarchy! that they have to do this semi-secretively - while ohno has openly had bangs in many magazines and, as mentioned, pvs, jun supposedly considers this style to be impossible to leave the house with - also implies a degree of closeted-ness, so their joint enjoyment and admiration of each other's bangs could, in fact, be a symbol of something more that they also share, that is: their love for each other.
to take it even unnecessarily far, maybe when they talk about sending each other pictures of their bangs after they take a bath and before bed, they are also communicating their closeness, their bond as two individuals who must carve out their own tiny niche of bangs-loving.
(at some point, bangs became a metaphor. i'm not entirely sure when.)
