But what if there was community movement? What if you got new friends out of the deal, a lot of people who like the same things you do?

I've seen you around on my friends' journals commenting and such. I've just never had a way to say HI, WANT TO SEE IF WE HAVE SHARED INTERESTS? without seeming like a completely socially awkward creeper. :|

I'm the exact same way! I don't know when is the appropriate time to go "hey, I've seen you around fandom a lot and I think we would get along...friends?" I'm shy like that.

I'm incredibly shy for being such an outspoken person. I'm absolutely terrible at starting conversations, but I have no problem carrying them if someone else does it for me.
