Are you tired of all the changes on LJ? It can be a love/hate relationship. Maybe you've thought about moving over to Dreamwidth but have refrained because fandom's not moving anytime soon. (Or if you're like me, you made a journal in case of mass exodus and now it's sitting and collecting dust.)

But what if there was community movement? What if you got new friends out of the deal, a lot of people who like the same things you do?

Favorite fandom moments: Oh god, I have to choose? Mago Mago Arashi when Sho was making lunch for kids and the recipe required panko (breadcrumbs) which he apparently had never realized was made from bread. Or any time Aiba and Nino have stolen drama scripts from Jun's bag and recited scenes out loud.
I participate in fandom by: Writing fiction and occasionally drawing dirty pictures. I also dabble in making crummy icons, but I try not to advertise it because it is not something I'm skillful with.

Other Asian fandoms?: Not so much anymore.
Other western fandoms? COMIC BOOKS. Of the Marvel titles I enjoy Iron Man, The Avengers, The Young Avengers, X-Men, Daredevil and... much, much more. (They all cross over, there's no point in really picking a favorite cast anymore.) I'm not big on DC but I do love me some Batman and Nightwing. Mostly, however, I like indie horror comics. I'm currently reading Powers by Brian Michael Bendis and Morning Glories by Nick Spencer.
Other interests/hobbies? Reading in general, music other than jpop, and crochet.

What kind of friends are you looking for? Looking to connect with anyone I know/knew over on livejournal. Plus anyone new with similar interests! I love meeting new people.
Misc/Other: I've been looking for a reason to leave LJ for about six months or more, so I'm really hoping that this goes well and more people come to DW!

I do like the Young Avengers! It's annoying that the writers seem to have NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH IT. But, you know. I have hope that it'll pick up eventually. The Runaways did, after all~ (And lord knows it is not easy to launch a new Marvel title.)

And go for it! I'll add you too, but I'm not sure how great I'll be at checking my flist for a while. The whole transitional period thing, I forget XD

I don't remember which episode it was exactly, although I think the other member babysitting with him was Aiba. It was the same episode where Aiba tried to trick the kids into eating green peppers (I think, I could be wrong).

I think they've only really talked about it a few times, once that I know of was during summer concert MC when Jun was doing NatsuNiji and the other time I can think of that was especially hilarious was on the hidden track for the WISH single and Jun was doing HanaDan.

Just the fact that they run through Jun's bag when he's not looking often enough that this has happened more than once makes me incredibly joyful to be in this fandom. ♥

It is the little things that make them so wondrously unique. ♥ (And Jun wasn't as upset as you'd think, mostly because Aiba and Nino are too hilarious to kill.)

I love Arashi and 'I like indie horror comics' caught my eye. I love horror stuff and would like to know more about horror comics in the future! :) I grab my brothers' comic books once in a while as well.

And I'm happy to talk western comics until I'm blue in the face. Most people I know don't read them and most who do don't read indie titles. I especially tend to love series put out by Image because 1) artists/creators maintain copyright and therefore get to tell the story they intended to tell and 2) they're not a subsidiary of Disney Corporation and can therefore be as horrifically bloody and twisted as they please.

I'm incredibly shy for being such an outspoken person. I'm absolutely terrible at starting conversations, but I have no problem carrying them if someone else does it for me.

Oh comics! Man I knew I forgot something in my other fandoms! I'm a big old-school Marvel (mostly just X-Universe) fan. Stopped reading after the Age of Apocalypse storyline...

Love looking for new Indie comics to read though. Always find some good reads that way.

I love old school. Not necessarily silver age, but I do enjoy the 616 canon and the history that has been built up over the last... jesus, 50 years now. I'm a fairly big X-Men fan, but my main series back in the day was Iron Man. I even have the anniversary DVD that has every issue ever printed from Iron Man's first appearance through the series into 2005 or so.

Age of Apocalypse was... difficult to get through. At least in my opinion, it was not one of the more endearingly written plots and a lot of people tend to either gloss over it now or sort of lost interest during that time.

As for indie comics, are there any that you're reading right now? I usually find mine by browing Image's database online via an iPad app, but I know there are several series that they put out which are not released digitally (YET!)

And I don't think there are only video clips. The two occasions I can think of, 1 was a concert report of an MC done during the summer concerts when Jun was doing NatsuNiji and Nino and Aiba even started reciting a scene on stage (but Aiba messed up a line and everyone lol'd) and then the other instance was a secret talk on... I believe it was the WISH single because I'm pretty sure they were giggling through some HanaDan scene.
