on Dreamwidth
Are you tired of all the changes on LJ? It can be a love/hate relationship. Maybe you've thought about moving over to Dreamwidth but have refrained because fandom's not moving anytime soon. (Or if you're like me, you made a journal in case of mass exodus and now it's sitting and collecting dust.)
But what if there was community movement? What if you got new friends out of the deal, a lot of people who like the same things you do?
So here's a friending meme, in the hopes of creating a solid community of Johnny's fans on Dreamwidth! Copy the text field, fill it all out, and have fun!
And if you want to help the community on Dreamwidth grow (you know you do!) here are some communities that you can get involved in. A lot of them haven't been updated in a long time, but don't let that stop you. If we participate, things will start to happen!

Favorite fandom moments: it used to be about the Ohmiya butt-groping, but now I'm all for those sakumoto moments that often lead to tinhatting
I participate in fandom by: writing fics. I have a fic comm called you_are_wait (in lj) and I used to moderate a kinks comm, but it's currently collecting dust due to RL issues and lack of inspiration (and people are shy? lol, I dunno)
Other Asian fandoms?: none, unfortunately
Other western fandoms? Supernatural, but not that much, Discworld/Terry Pratchett
Other interests/hobbies? tarot card and rune reading, astrology, chain mail, Haruki Murakami, Neil Gaiman, vampires that don't sparkle, humorous fantasy/sci-fi, fantasy, children's/ YA literature
What kind of friends are you looking for? Former friends on LJ who have recently moved to dreamwidth; people close to my age with similar interests and hobbies.
Misc/Other: My updates tend to be sporadic and I'm often rambly in my personal entries. Um, also, I decided to do this so that people who know the other statr on lj won't be adding my dw by mistake :3 I've had this username since 2009 and I don't really know how to change it without having to pay for anything.

Neil Gaiman is awesome (though I admit that so far I only read 4 of his books). What sort of humorous sci-fi do you mean? Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy etc?
