Are you tired of all the changes on LJ? It can be a love/hate relationship. Maybe you've thought about moving over to Dreamwidth but have refrained because fandom's not moving anytime soon. (Or if you're like me, you made a journal in case of mass exodus and now it's sitting and collecting dust.)

But what if there was community movement? What if you got new friends out of the deal, a lot of people who like the same things you do?

Yay, another Colorado fan.

What area are you in? I am the Denver area (Aurora to be specific). And I also have a couple of other friends who are Johnny's fans as well. We plan to have a Kohaku party sometime in early Jan.

Oh yeah, I love the old series as well. I remember searching to try and find a copy of Soul Blade for myself. I'm so excited for Soul Calibur V. Can't wait to see how everything is in it!

Besides, if you like SIAM SHADE then you will get right along. The only fandom I have currently that's stronger than my Arashi fandom.

Oh comics! Man I knew I forgot something in my other fandoms! I'm a big old-school Marvel (mostly just X-Universe) fan. Stopped reading after the Age of Apocalypse storyline...

Love looking for new Indie comics to read though. Always find some good reads that way.

I LOVE Arashi and Hockey! So hard to find that combination anywhere, isn't it?

Warning though: I am a die-hard Calgary Flames fan. And the Bruins are my second team (I nearly died of happiness last year... XD).

But I think we could get along. Would certainly be great to have a friend who shares two of my biggest interests. XD

I love old school. Not necessarily silver age, but I do enjoy the 616 canon and the history that has been built up over the last... jesus, 50 years now. I'm a fairly big X-Men fan, but my main series back in the day was Iron Man. I even have the anniversary DVD that has every issue ever printed from Iron Man's first appearance through the series into 2005 or so.

Age of Apocalypse was... difficult to get through. At least in my opinion, it was not one of the more endearingly written plots and a lot of people tend to either gloss over it now or sort of lost interest during that time.

As for indie comics, are there any that you're reading right now? I usually find mine by browing Image's database online via an iPad app, but I know there are several series that they put out which are not released digitally (YET!)

Groups I like: Arashi, and I have a small but somewhat growing awareness of HeySayJump (though I wouldn't say I'm a fan yet, sorry grayscale)
Favorite members: Aiba! Though it is Arashi, so "favorite" is kind of relative XD
Favorite fandom moments: Sitting down a classmate with the haunted house episodes of HnA and hearing the next day she'd been scourging youtube for anything Arashi related and did I have more videos because they were adorable XD
I participate in fandom by: Mostly lurking. I read fic and follow people's tumblrs, I'm really bad about commenting/etc, even when I really love it and I tend to be rather shy ^ ^;;

Other Asian fandoms?: Various anime, I've seen a few jdramas but not really explored the fandoms for them.
Other western fandoms? I'm not really involved in the fandoms but I watch Dr. Who and BBC Sherlock, and I have a longstanding love for Harry Potter which occasionally resurfaces.
Other interests/hobbies? I like to cook/bake :D and I dance. And I love sending handwritten letters.

What kind of friends are you looking for? ^ ^;; mostly I hope to use this as an opportunity to actually talk to the people I've been following since I got into fandom, since I'm usually really bad about that.
Misc/Other: I lack adorable arashi gifs, so no, not really ^ ^

Awkward confession time! I've been lurking on rainbowfilling for months and been following your tumblr for even longer than that but never said anything because I'm shy ._. But I'm trying to work on that :D I love Arashi and count Aiba Therapy as half the reason I got through my thesis last semester (the other half being copious amounts of nutella) and there is no way Ohno is 30 he's too cute I refuse to believe it :l

So, I have been lurking on arashikink and rainbowfilling and your other tumblrs for ages (arashikink was actually kind of instrumental in getting me in to arashi fandom :D) but I don't really say anything because I'm terrible about that ^ ^;;

I love Aiba a whole lot and Jun is a close second and I cosplay as Sailor Mercury when I get the time and half my current tumblr queue is reblogs about feminism and not-judging/acceptance of gender variance. Plus I also use excessive emoticons :D And pron places are awesome places. Friends?
